I want to wish all of you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving!

A lot of the games I photograph start in the daylight but end after sunset.  On Tuesday I was at Mason for their soccer matches against Sycamore.  The moon was absolutely amazing.  Below is an image I quickly made during the game.  Happy Thursday!

I am the kind of person who likes to make a task list for everyday.  Love it when I actually cross them all off by the end of the day:)  Sometimes I get stressed, okay downright grumpy,  if I do not finish the lists.  At the end of last week I did not even come close to finishing my lists but instead of being stressed or upset I was happy that my husband was starting to feel better.  I watched him be in pain for 2 days.  He ended up having a root canal on Friday morning which why I am sure was painful, it was also helpful.  The medicines kicked in and his fever from the infection went away.  It took another day for the pain to leave and I was so thankful to see him looking healthy again.  He was no longer pale and the pain in his eyes disappeared.  So while I would love to tell you I always put him first I know I fail on occasion.  I am glad I put what matters most to me first and just ignored my to-do list last week.  It did not matter, taking care of him did.  Below is a recent image of us our friends took while we were in Boston.  Yes, I look less than fresh thanks to a race I ran earlier, but it is the most recent picture of us together that we have.  Somehow, even though I am a professional photographer, we never seem to take the time to snap a quick picture of ourselves.  Hopefully something we will change in the future.

I was lucky enough to be able to go to Boston, MA last week for vacation.  My husband had class so I tagged along.  We tacked on another day so we could spend Saturday together.  It was nice to get away and a challenge to not work.  While I did leave my laptop behind I had my phone which meant I still saw all my emails and knew when I had voice mail messages.  In all I did a pretty good time of staying away from work and enjoying my time away.  On Wednesday a good friend drove up from Hartford and we got to spend some time together catching up in person.  Friday I got to walk around different parts of Boston with a friend I made a few years ago while shooting her engagement pictures.  Even snuck in a few quick pics of her and her husband before heading to dinner.  It was so great having dinner with them and walking around a bit more afterwards.  Ended up getting a few sweet treats from Mike’s Pastries.  I highly recommend that place for dessert.  Saturday morning we tagged along with the same couple from Friday night to a 5K race.  It was only my second race of the year and while I missed my goal it was an improvement over my previous race.  Saturday afternoon we explored by ourselves and had a late lunch by the water.  I could definitely get used to open air dining on the water.  So relaxing and a beautiful view.  It was a great trip and I am now settling back into the normal routine.  Happy Monday!

Just something a little different.  I have been trying to make more images for myself each month.  I have a lot Black Eye Susan in my flower bed and love to see them before they bud out.  Happy Thursday!
