I want to wish all of you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving!

This past Wednesday I photographed a tournament soccer game.  It was postponed from the previous night because of storms.  While there were no storms on Wednesday there was still plenty of rain and very chilly temperatures.   Luckily it was not blowing too bad so I did not have to worry about the rain blowing into the lens hoods and get the front wet.  All my rain gear worked great keeping everything dry.  Here are 2 images from the night, the game images to follow at a later time.

Last week we had a foggy start to the morning.  The sun was rising creating a warm glow.   Unfortunately I did not have time to go any where to get some great images of the foggy morning but I took a few quick images from the backyard.  Looking slightly north-east from the backyard I could get the sun above the tree line.  I like the basketball pole in the foreground as it gives me a sense of place in the neighborhood. I know the blog has been light on posts recently.  I have been mulling around making changes to the blog but have not come up with what exactly I want to do with it.  Feedback from you would be great, after all my goal is to make the blog interesting to my readers.  Do you like the way I currently display the images?  Do you want tips on how to photograph events and people?  I am thinking about including more personal posts, is the of interest to you?  Please feel free to leave a comment below if you have suggestions on any changes you would like to see.  You can also tell me to leave it alone and continue on as normal.  Email is another way you can contact me if you like.  I appreciate any feedback and because I like to include images in my post, here is one from last Friday’s football game.

The moon splits the uprights.

A lot of the games I photograph start in the daylight but end after sunset.  On Tuesday I was at Mason for their soccer matches against Sycamore.  The moon was absolutely amazing.  Below is an image I quickly made during the game.  Happy Thursday!
