St. Xavier at Mason Freshmen Baseball

I received a request to photograph the Mason Green Freshmen baseball team and after two attempts, I finally made it out to a game.  St. Xavier was the opponent and both sides brought a good crowd with them.  The game actually went into extra innings as Mason tied everything up at the end of 7.  St. Xavier blew open the game at the top of the 9th and then held on to win.  All images are available through the Game Images link above.  Here are a few of my favorites.

I liked how it was flipping the ball while the coach was talking to him.

Did a wider angle on a pick-off attempt.

Breaking up the double play.

Excitement after a key out.

Stretching a lead while watching the pitcher.

Collision at home.

Both players called for the ball & the outfielder managed to hold on for the out.
