Lakota East at Lakota West Varsity Baseball

It was a gorgeous day for baseball and a battle between the Lakota East and Lakota West varsity teams was on tap for the day.  The crowd was not as large as a typical rivalry game but I think that was because of all the other games going on at the same time.  For awhile the game was close and then in what seemed like a minute, the game was blown wide open.  To see all game images, click the Game Images link above.  Here are a few of my favorites:

Using the fence to frame the team lining up for the Anthem.

The end of the bat coming off on a hit.

Preparing to go out onto the field to warm-up.

The pitcher got hit by the ball.  People watch as he attempts to pitch.

Sliding into third.

Some fans decided to hang out in the parking lot to watch the game.

Got lucky with the bat image. Had no idea what happened since I did not see it with the shutter closed. Just heard a really weird sound. Actually chimped to see what happened:)
