My first visit to the new Mason High School gym was for the Lakota West vs Mason womens basketball games. Thanks very much to the parent I called who helped me find the gym. It is a little hidden and has a really small parking lot. Luckily I was there for the start of the freshmen game so I was able to get into the parking lot. Given that it was raining and a little cold I was grateful to not have to walk a far distance to the gym. At the end of the Varsity game I was able to get out quickly as well which was a good thing. A lot of people decided to park in non-parking areas which was causing a mess when people tried to leave. The Varsity game was definitely the most nail biting game of the evening. It came down to a player shooting free throws with no time on the clock with the score tied. She made the first and the game was over.
