Those of you that tend to read my blog frequently know that I have a tendency to talk about light. Normally how that I wish there was more of it. Though I wish in most cases that all games get played in a nice bright but overcast day I do like sunsets. Especially if I can use it as backdrops of my images. It gives me the same type of image as normal but with a twist. Below are some samples of images from a few games where the sunset played nice and gave me a chance to create slightly different images.
Team huddle before the game. Wish I would have made the exposure a little darker to get more sky color.

About 25 yards of the field have a clear view of the sunset so I was wishing they would play within those 25 yards.

Even had trees to use as a frame.

During warm-ups of a football game I played with shooting directly into the sun instead of having it at my back.

I do wonder if people realized I was doing this on purpose or if they thought my camera should be taken away from me.

By the time team stretch came around the sun was even lower in the sky. I laid on the turf for this angle.

The band performed right before the game, just as the last of the sunset was disappearing.
