It was a beautiful Friday evening for baseball. The Lakota East JV baseball team traveled the short distance to Lakota West for the game. Like all East vs West match-ups there were lots of fans on hand for the game. I arrived early so I could scope out some locations from where I wanted to photograph. When I first arrived I was a little worried because of all the fencing but after standing on my car trunk to get a little higher view I saw that I would have several options. I am sure people were wondering why I was roaming the fence lines before the game but I wanted to be prepared before the game started. Normally I only move between half innings but you never know when you need to move during an inning and you need to do that very quickly. Here are some of my favorite action images from the game:
This was as high as I could get to work in the great shadow of the pitcher.

A few pitches got away from the pitcher and here is one.

Trying to avoid the tag.

Putting down the bunt.

Sliding safely back to first.

The runner watching the pitcher to decide on what move he is going to make.

Battling the sun to match the catch.
