Some of you know that I have been working on a few personal projects this past week or so. One thing I have always wanted to try again was light painting. So when I got invited along for a night of teaching/learning jumped all over it. Even though it was a late night and there were some animals lurking around in the dark it was a blast. I would have stayed out there all night anyways but we needed to pack it in and rest up for the next day’s adventures. Here is one image from the night. I composed it but another person actually did the painting. My attempt at painting was not nearly as good so I thought I would show the good one.

I had a great Senior session at Sharon Woods with Tyler. He is an outdoors guy so we skipped the studio and just did everything outdoors. His mom was along for the session which I loved. She brought him several different shirts to change into. Though he said it was outfits and we reminded him outfits include more than just a shirt change:) Here are a few images from the session:
Got the formal outfit done first thing.

Then it was on to new locations.

Tyler has a great natural smile.

We headed into the woods for a little ways.

The blue shirt really brought out the color in his eyes.

Thanks for a great session Tyler. Best of luck with your last year of high school. (special thanks to his mom for carrying the extra shirts around during the session)
This little guy has been a customer for awhile. I was excited once again to be able to do an outdoor session. He is definitely all boy and likes to move around which makes an outdoor session perfect for him. We did the session in a couple little parks close by. Lots of fun! Just a few images from the session:
Getting a little help from dad to get to a new spot.

He liked to run straight at the camera!

Love the open mouth smiles.

And when he does not get to go where he wants, the lip come out.

Contemplating where to go next.

A baseball game from last Saturday afternoon. I received a request to come out a team’s game this season from a past customer. I love getting requests and was happy to oblige. While a bit on the hot side the wind kept things from being too unbearable. Lots of parents there to cheer on their athletes which I always love. Here are a few of my favorite images from the game.
Making contact with the ball.

Out at home and finishing the double play with a throw to first.

Sliding back in safely to first.

Battling the sun but made the play.

What do you think the coach was thinking while watching his player get tagged out in a run down?

Happy Father’s Day!
I will admit I was a bit of a daddy’s girl growing up. Actually, I probably still am. We celebrated Father’s Day last night with the family. After dinner we got talking about Atari games which of course led to the games we played growing up. We had the cartridge version and also the Atari 800. The 800 of course allowed you to program your own games. Since my dad worked on computers for a living, (that’s all I really knew when I was young) I wanted to work on computers too. I remember programming my first game on that computer and thought it was the best thing. It was cool to show my dad when he got home from work and no matter how tired he was he always took the time to look and be a dad to me.
One thing still scares me to this day, the flat palm slamming into the bedroom door. That meant we were in big trouble and that my mom told my dad about the really bad thing I did that day. So much could be said with just that hand smack to the door. Even though I tried to justify what I did to him, I knew I was wrong and deserved my punishment. From taking away of toys to groundings. The punishment fit the crime even if I did not think so at the time. I mean, how can a teenage girl live without a phone
Thanks dad for all the things you taught me growing up and still continue to teach me. I know I sometimes failed at the lessons - remember trying to teach me how to drive a stick-shift - but I learned so much. You will never believe how many times my ability to tie a tie comes in handy. You are an amazing dad how continues to teach and give of yourself daily. Love you dad!
